Google joins Chile-Australia submarine cable project

Google will help build a big cable under the sea. The cable will connect Chile and Sydney. People have been planning this for a long time.

Google will work with two other groups. One is from Chile and one is from French Polynesia. They wrote about it on their website.

Google said the cable will help Chile and other countries in South America. They said they want to make this happen with them.

The minister of communications in Australia said this is good news. She said the cable will make Australia and Latin America closer. She said this will help them do more things online.

The leader of the group from Chile said Google is very important for the project. He said they have worked hard for many years. He said they are ready to start building.

He said they want to make Chile a place where people can connect easily with other places. He said the cable will help them do that with the Asia-Pacific region.

The cable will also connect with another cable that Google and another group are making. That cable will go to some islands in the Pacific Ocean.
