Google intends to improve search by incorporating AI chat and video clips

According to the Wall Street Journal, Google is reportedly planning to revamp its search engine to be more “visual, snackable, personal, and human,” with a focus on serving young people globally. The company is expected to introduce new features that allow users to hold conversations with an AI program at its upcoming I/O developer conference. The move is intended to distance the search engine from its traditional “10 blue links” format, and incorporate more human voices into the search results. This shift towards generative AI is part of a growing trend among companies seeking to launch similar products and change the nature of work. Google has yet to respond to requests for comment
