Gina Rinehart Shows Support for Liberal Party at Ryde Polling Station

Australia’s richest person and mining magnate Gina Rinehart has shocked onlookers by taking to the streets to campaign for the Liberal party. The billionaire, who is said to have a net worth of over $17 billion, took to Sydney’s north shore to hand deliver meat pies to Liberal volunteers and voters.

Images shared on social media showed Ms. Rinehart emerging from a white SUV outside a Ryde school, brandishing a box of meat pies in her hands. The scene was described as ‘bizarre’ by one onlooker, who said it was ‘surreal’ to see one of Australia’s wealthiest citizens handing out food to her political allies.

The mining magnate, with an estimated worth of $37 billion, reportedly praised Liberal Lane Cove MP Anthony Roberts, who is locked in a heated competition for his seat with the independent Victoria Davidson.

Ms Rinehart and Mr Roberts have had a friendship that has lasted for a long time, to the point where she even sent him meat pies while he was quarantined in a hotel during the pandemic.
