Genesis Energy will have a new chief digital officer (CDO) starting next month, with Peter Kennedy, the company’s current general manager of development and innovation, taking on the post.
Kennedy will succeed James Magill, who has served as CDO since August 2020.
Magill characterizes the CDO function on LinkedIn as “accountable for technology, data, and new product development.”
In a financial filing, Genesis Energy stated that Kennedy had “demonstrated a capability to drive innovation in our retail business, a remarkable feel for technology’s power to produce disruptive change, and a strong vision for our employees, the company, and the industry in the years ahead.”
At the time of publication, a Genesis Energy spokeswoman could not give more information.
With over 500,000 clients, GenesisEnergy is New Zealand’s largest energy retailer.
