Q. What inspired Emma to become an entrepreneur?

Emma: I love all aspects of business and building high-performing teams. As an entrepreneur, I can set a high standard for what I believe the business should deliver in terms of the quality of our product, service, and partnerships so we can build a brand of integrity. I enjoy watching the people around me succeed and aim to create environments for them to achieve things they once thought were impossible.

Q. How did Emma get started?

Emma: I have had a diverse career spanning from sports management to the arena of business development and human performance. It gave me the rare opportunity to deep dive in and out of many different types of organisations and industries, to learn the underlying characteristics of competitive business.

API is the culmination of more than a decade in the property industry fused with extensive experience in business, performance coaching, and a service-centric philosophy. I have created a unique culture where it is normal to learn, share and be transparent, and from that our clients can make well-informed decisions that optimise their success.

Emma: Becoming a published author was a highlight. I had the privilege of writing ‘Back Yourself’ a women’s business book right in the midst of the 2020 pandemic. I also contributed to a book called ‘the Women changing the world’ where I share insights into my philanthropic work. Both became #1 Amazon best sellers.

Some of the proudest achievements I have as an entrepreneur is being a catalyst for change. API has been a major sponsor of building and renovating two schools (2017 and the 2018 School Projects) in Battambang province Cambodia. These schools now support over 500 children in the province and many more generations to come. API has also built and gifted more than 15 GVH homes and committed to the ongoing distribution of learning and teaching resources, school uniforms, shoes, backpacks, chickens, rice, and much more.
