Early Unboxing of Meta’s Quest 3 VR Headset Raises Speculation

An early unboxing video of what appears to be Meta’s Quest 3 VR headset has surfaced online, even though the official launch is expected this fall. The unboxing video, shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), reveals the device inside a brown box, with the headset and two Touch Plus controllers being pulled out by the person filming. The unboxing closely matches the presentation that Meta showcased during its June announcement of the headset.

This revelation isn’t entirely surprising, as Meta has likely prepared final packaging for the Quest 3. Additionally, a new VR headset resembling the Quest 3 recently appeared in the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database, indicating approval for sale in the US. With this development, Meta might be getting ready to release the headset soon. The company has also hinted at sharing more information about the Quest 3 during its Meta Connect event, scheduled to begin on September 27th.

This isn’t the first time a Quest headset has been leaked ahead of its official unveiling. Last year, images and videos of the Meta Quest Pro surfaced about a month before its official announcement, after reportedly being left in a hotel room.
