DTA begins SAP renegotiation

The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has initiated renegotiations for its current deal with enterprise resource planning company SAP, which is one of the biggest tech deals in the Commonwealth.

The existing agreement, which allows federal agencies to procure access to SAP software and services, was extended until June 2023.

It covers all SAP licensing requirements across the Commonwealth, and has so far included 297 individual contracts under standing offer notice SON3464296, worth a total of nearly $894 million.

Twelve agencies have procured SAP services under the deal so far, and it is expected that any future arrangement will have a similar scope to the current one.
