Dough Time Hits Four: Hassall Grove Plaza Welcomes Western Sydney’s Favourite Pizza Franchise

In just two years, Dough Time has gone from a local gem in Quakers Hill to a household name across Sydney. Now, it’s officially opened its fourth store in Western Sydney, right inside Hassall Grove Plaza.

This isn’t your average expansion story. Dough Time is on a mission: to beat the big names like Domino’s and Pizza Hut at their own game — not by cutting corners, but by raising the bar. “We’re watching the big chains race to the bottom with cheaper ingredients and slashed prices,” says co-founder Ali. “That’s not who we are. We’re here to serve quality food that people genuinely want to come back for.”

And come back they do. With over 1,000 plus five-star reviews on Google, constant queues at peak hours, and a cult following on social media, Dough Time has become a western suburbs staple — and the demand hasn’t slowed down.

“We’ve been absolutely flooded with messages asking when we’re coming to different parts of Sydney,” says Ali, co-founder of the brand. “Opening at Hassall Grove was a no-brainer. The plaza is buzzing, and the community here has been asking for us for months.”

The new store also marks a key milestone for the brand — Dough Time’s first official franchise location. It’s a significant shift from the founder-led openings of the past, and a signal that the company is ready to scale its proven model with carefully selected partners.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with franchise interest,” says Anita, a Dough Time franchise representative. “For now, with all the success we’re seeing in Western Sydney, we’re actively looking for franchise opportunities across the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs. There’s definitely room to grow — we just want to make sure we do it right.”

The franchise model is already drawing attention, not just from across NSW, but interstate. When asked whether expansion to other parts of Australia is on the cards, Sam smiles. “Let’s just say we’ve had some very promising chats in Brisbane and Melbourne,” he hints. “That’s all I’ll say for now.”

At a time when cookie-cutter chains dominate and many food businesses are feeling the pressure, Dough Time is building something different — a brand rooted in community, quality, and culture. With four locations in two years, a surging wave of franchise demand, and the public clearly hungry for more, Dough Time isn’t just making pizza.

It’s making a point.
