Diner’s Staggering $A12,000 Bill at Salt Bae’s Restaurant – Even Without a Steak!

If you thought ordering a steak at a steakhouse was expensive, you haven’t seen anything yet. A diner recently revealed that he racked up a staggering $A12,000 bill at celebrity chef Salt Bae’s restaurant – and he doesn’t even eat steak!

TikToker Mitch recently took to the social media platform to show off his receipt, which included approximately $A77 for a cheese starter and $A24 for a small side of mashed potato, according to The Sun. His table was also charged $A40 for water, $A30 for sliced avocado, and $A18 for spinach. But the real expense came from the drinks, with the group spending $A157 on two single tequilas and an eye-watering $A9600 on two bottles of burgundy.

The bill also contained two gold-leaf steaks, costing almost $A2300, and a chicken dish for $A100. This gave way to the now famous viral video, which has amassed 26.3 million views, of Salt Bae slicing one of the steaks at the table and seasoning it with a sprinkling gesture over his elbow.

Mitch captioned his video: “When you pay 31k to see Salt Bae but don’t eat steak” after the total – before tip – of 31,475 dirhams ($A12,600) came to at the chef’s Nusr-Et steakhouse in Dubai, with the words “service charge not included” circled in blue ballpoint pen.
