The report reveals surprising statistics about Gen Z use of the Internet and social media. According to the reports, almost two-thirds of the world’s population is now using the internet. Though, the time spent consuming media has slightly dropped. 

Despite media misrepresentations, the use of social media has increased over the years and continues to grow. Meanwhile, the statistics show that the games are popular among all ages. The report is full of statistics, insights, and trends. The reports are prepared with data collected from a number of platforms including Similarweb, Semrush, GSMA intelligence, SocialInsider, Statista, Locowise, SKai, Ookla, data,ai and PPRO. 

According to the reports, the average Australian spends about 6 hours a day online which is slightly less than global use of 6.35 hours. Also, the data shows that Australians are more concerned about their digital privacy. Almost 40.6% of the users decline cookies often.Almost 42% of the Australians are concerned about how companies use their data which is higher than the global mean of 30.9% only.

 Also, Australians are among the top consumers of paid digital content. Each month almost 74.7% users buy digital content. Among the content, streaming services are popular. However, the use of social media has declined in the country. The average time Aussies spend on social media per day is 1 hour and 54 minutes as compared to the global average of 2 hours and 20 minutes.  

One of the most interesting in the report is the debunks of the notion of doom scrolling by Gen Z. According to the reports, they are the biggest users of emails. And they also use search engines widely for information.They visit website brands often in comparison with brands’s social networking pages. 

One of the major reasons to stay online for all ages is to stay connected with friends and family, and also to find information.
