Claudio Cavallo, Darebin City Council’s chief information officer, has departed to take a new position with Central Highlands Water.
In February, Cavallo will begin work as the general manager of IT and digital for Central Highlands Water in Victoria.
Cavallo declared on LinkedIn that he is “moving on” after directing the Darebin City Council’s information services unit for three and a half years.
“I have had the privilege of working with many great and devoted individuals both within and outside of the council,” Cavallo wrote.
“I’d want to thank Darebin for the possibilities, experiences, education, and, most importantly, the wonderful people.”
“I’ve had the good fortune to take a new position with Central Highlands Water as the general manager of IT and digital.”
Cavallo worked with Darebin City Council to implement the council’s four-year strategy.
Cavallo formerly worked at Melbourne Water, where he led a team of IT professionals and strategic planning from 2012 to 2018.
He has also worked with Service Stream, Australia Post, and various financial, energy, and telecommunications firms.
