The Commonwealth Bank’s Indonesian subsidiary, PT Bank Commonwealth (PTBC), has suffered a cyber incident.
According to a brief statement from the bank, attackers gained unauthorized access to a web-based project management tool used by PTBC, which allowed them to partially access information and data from 11 staff and customers.
However, PTBC’s services continue to operate normally, and the incident did not affect Commonwealth Bank’s Australian systems, which operate separately. The bank is reportedly working closely with PTBC to support their response to the matter.
