Investing in Loss Prevention Technology
Coles is investing in loss prevention technology, deploying Skip Scan cameras and Smart Gates at self-checkouts. The company aims to enhance security and deter theft from its stores. While the majority of customers act responsibly, these measures are designed to deter a small number of offenders.
Additionally, trolley lock technology is used to prevent unauthorized trolley removal. By deploying this technology across its stores, Coles aims to create a more secure shopping environment.
