The world-famous confectionary brand Mars Wrigley has yet again come up with a new mouth-watering snack that will tantalise the taste buds. They launched M&M’S Mocha Mudcake on August 2nd, much to the delight of chocoholics and coffee drinkers alike.
Mars Wrigley has cleverly tapped into the huge demand of coffee in Australia, with three quarters of Aussies drinking coffee daily.
The iconic crisp M&M shell covers a mocha mudcake centre with a fudge-like texture, all smothered in delicious chocolate.
“As the appreciation of Australians for coffee-flavoured treats rises year after year, people seek for novelties that go beyond taste, putting texture in the spotlight in order to elevate the eating experience,” said Ben Hill, Mars Wrigley’s marketing director.
“Our company has invested significantly over the past few years into the growth of our Bitesize range, concentrating on creating consumer-driven innovations. Customers are now searching for more than just flavour in their food, and texture has become a primary focus in order to improve the eating experience. We are thrilled to note that our products are starting to reach shelves across the country.”
Mars Wrigley’s Ballarat Innovation Hub created the chocolate, which follows the company’s recent announcement of a $28 million investment into their Ballarat operations.
A year ago, the Mars brand had to discontinue selling Starburst lollies in Australia, as they were imported from Europe, despite the fact that many other Mars products are manufactured in their factory located in Ballarat, Victoria.
