Bunnings Will Now Accept Afterpay Payments

In a move that is sure to be welcomed by shoppers across the country, popular home improvement store Bunnings has announced that it will now accept Afterpay payments.

Afterpay is a service that allows shoppers to pay for their purchases in four equal instalments, interest-free. The service has become increasingly popular in recent years, with a number of major retailers now offering it as a payment option.

Bunnings is the latest retailer to jump on the Afterpay bandwagon, and shoppers will now be able to use the service to pay for items.

The chain said on Monday that it had teamed up with the pay service company for in-store payments only, with no minimum spend attached.

“We hope that this will enable more Australians to pursue their hobbies and interests at home,” said Katrina Konstas, Country manager at Afterpay.

This is great news for anyone who has been looking to renovate their home on a budget, as it means that they can spread the cost of their purchases over a period of time.

The lower of either 25 percent of the payment, or $68, will be charged as a late fee for users who miss payments.

So next time you’re at Bunnings and spot something you need, remember that you can now take advantage of Afterpay and spread the cost over a few weeks.
