Brilliant Labs has introduced the first frame AI glasses that perform different functions using Artificial Intelligence. The glasses can identify pictures, translate language, and allow web search. They are designed to be worn as ordinary glasses. However, AI integration has made them extraordinary. According to sources, the frames have an AI assistant called Noa.
AI assistants use large language models to find the best answers to different questions. The company has partnered with OpenAI, an industry leader, Whisper and Perplexity. The Brilliant Lab said that the world’s smallest augmented reality device clipped into existing glasses.
The frame comes with display and camera technology with a micro OLED display. It has a high-definition camera with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Talking to South China Morning Post, Brilliant Labs co-founder and CEO Bobak Tavangar said that it’s not a competitor of Apple’s vision Pro. He said that it is analogous to multitouch for the smartphone. Until technology and interface modality was invented, smartphones were really not a thing.
The frames come in gray, black, and a transparent hue. It is also available on pre order at $349 a piece. Customers can also get prescription glasses for $448. According to interesting Engineering reports The device will be shipped in April.
