Australian Human Rights Commission wishes to upgrade its information technology

The Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) plans to upgrade its IT systems after having made minimal investment in technology over the past five to ten years.

The AHRC has sought external assistance to evaluate its current IT infrastructure and develop a business case to present to the government by the end of the financial year.

The AHRC acknowledged that its current systems are inefficient, with manual forms and disconnected systems that impact the commission’s financial sustainability.

The AHRC has some cloud systems, including Azure and Dynamics CRM, but they are not widely used. Unit4 is used for enterprise resource planning but is limited to finance and payroll functions. The AHRC has budgeted up to $150,000 for a consultancy to review and create a business case for future IT infrastructure and system investments.
