Intel and Digitalbridge have launched an Independent AI company named Articul8 AI. Intel is a tech giant whereas DigitalBridge is a global investment company. The full stack, optimized and generative AI software platform is for enterprise customers. According to sources, the company is created using Intellectual property and technology developed by Intel and two other companies. Articul8 focuses on enterprise-grade AI solutions specifically built for security and cost-effectiveness.
Articul8 boasts a custom-built AI system fueled by Intel’s supercomputer and in-house tech. This secure system runs within companies’ own data centers, addressing privacy and cost concerns often associated with cloud-based AI.
“Getting AI into production safely and sustainably is the real challenge,” explains Arun Subramaniyan, Articul8’s CEO and former Intel AI leader. Articul8 aims to bridge that gap, ensuring smooth implementation and avoiding runaway costs for businesses adopting AI.
This spin-off isn’t new territory for Intel. They previously launched Mobileye Global for car chips and plan an IPO for their programmable chip unit. Articul8 adds another chapter to their strategy of seeking external investment for specific business ventures.
With support from established names like Fin Capital and Mindset Ventures, Articul8 AI steps onto the scene poised to make its mark on the enterprise AI landscape. Whether they can address the concerns of potential customers and carve out a unique niche remains to be seen, but Intel’s bold move certainly adds another player to the rapidly evolving AI game.
