Predictions went wrong, Apple tech firm made higher revenues in comparison with last year despite the omicron surge. The company reported record sales beating the estimates and analysts’ predictions. Despite, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook warning of a shortage of chips impacting on manufacturing of Apple products in October. Apple celebrated a successful quarter with higher income.
CEO Time Cook said, ‘’ despite the uncertainty of the world, there is one thing of which I am certain: Apple will continue to improve every day and in every way to deliver on the promise of the technology at its best.’’
It’s the first quarter earnings of 2022, and the company made a record revenue of $123.9 bin, which is 11% up from last year. The analysts estimated value was $118.7bn.
Apple ‘s success attributed to New Products
The success of Apple is attributed to its holiday product iPhone sale in late 2021. Though, Apple had also launched new products in the fall. That includes the iPad, MacBook Pro computer, AirPods and new models of the Apple. It’s been a tremendous year for the company new products.
Apple’s CFO Luca Maestri said, ‘’ The very strong customer response to our recent launch of new products and services drove double-digit growth in the revenue and earnings, and helped set an all-time high for our installed base of the active devise.’’
Meanwhile, the Chief digital officer at media agency Mindshare Worldwide believes that Giant tech company apple shows that it’s more resistant than other tech companies. He believed that the chip shortage was never a problem for Apple, he said, ‘’ Apple’s cult following will always buy the latest version of its flagship device’’.
Despite the closing of various Apple stores and corporate offices amid omicron, the company made a successful quarter. Meanwhile, analysts are looking forward to the earning reports of Amazon. Also, Apple’s parent company Alphabet to see if Apple’s success will continue.
