ANZ expands its use of the Knosys programme

The ANZ Banking Group has renewed its agreement to utilise Melbourne-based Knosys’ knowledge management system for a further three years.

Although a mid-2020 filing [pdf] that coincided with the migration of New Zealand-based users to a standalone version of the software suggested usage is widespread within the bank, with at least 6000 people in ANZ’s New Zealand operations alone, the bank’s use case for the Knowledge IQ product has never really been explained.

The contract extension for Australia that was announced this week includes several upgrades.

The most recent contract between the bank and Knosys dates from about the middle of 2018 and was a contract extension.

John Thompson, the managing director of Knosys, stated in a general statement that the company’s software “may enable staff and consumers to find important information more rapidly, either through call centres or through digital channels such as websites and chatbots.”

Optus, the Office of Public Prosecutions Victoria, and Service SA are a few of Knosys’ non-ANZ clients.

Recently, Knosys received a two-year contract extension from Optus to continue using Knowledge IQ.
