Alibaba tests a technology similar to ChatGPT

In a rush among internet businesses worldwide to demonstrate that they are current on generative artificial intelligence (AI) advances, Alibaba is creating a ChatGPT-style tool that is now undergoing internal testing.

The Chinese e-commerce company made its comment in response to news that Alibaba is creating a ChatGPT-like discussion robot that is currently available for testing among its staff, according to the 21st Century Herald newspaper.

Alibaba declined to comment when contacted about the newspaper article, which also claimed that the company would integrate the technology with its DingTalk chat app.

The business claimed that for a period of years, it has concentrated on huge language models and generative AI.

Large language models are natural language processing systems that can generate new content as well as understand and respond to questions because they have been trained on enormous amounts of text.

Due to investor excitement over Open.ChatGPT, Ai’s which can generate articles, essays, and jokes in response to prompts and has been dubbed the fastest-growing consumer app in history, shares in a number of other Chinese AI technology businesses have surged in recent days.

After announcing that testing of its “Ernie bot” will be finished in March, Chinese search engine company Baidu saw a 15% increase in its stock price.
