Adobe has announced that it will offer its artificial intelligence tool, Firefly, to its large business customers. As part of this move, Adobe will provide financial indemnity to address copyright challenges associated with content generated using Firefly. This decision comes in response to the increasing number of lawsuits related to image data used in AI services, which can generate images based on minimal text input. Earlier this year, Adobe released a test version of Firefly, which was developed using legally safe image data. The tool will be integrated into Adobe Express, an offering designed to assist business users who are not design specialists in creating images and documents. To instill confidence in customers, Adobe will provide indemnification for images created with the service; however, specific details regarding the financial and legal aspects of the program were not disclosed. Ashley Still, Senior Vice President of Digital Media at Adobe, emphasized that the company stands behind all content produced by Firefly, whether for internal or external use. Furthermore, Adobe will enable businesses to customize the service by training it to incorporate their own logos and products, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines when creating content. Adobe has also introduced AI-based features to its digital marketing tools, allowing users to generate reports by asking questions in natural language, facilitating easier access to data across the enterprise.
