Kellanova Australia, formerly known as Kellogg’s, is celebrating its 100th anniversary in the Australian market this year. The company, which produces a range of cereal and snack products, is also looking ahead to the next century and how it can leverage digital technologies to enhance its business.
According to IT director for A/NZ Kate Collareda, who spoke at the Salesforce World Tour in Sydney, 2024 is the “year of digital” for Kellanova Australia.
Collareda explained that the company is embarking on a digitisation program that will involve adopting more real-time data analytics and more off-the-shelf platforms, rather than relying on self-built systems.
“We’re at the beginning of our digitisation journey,” Collareda said. “It’s about how we digitise our business and take it forward into the future over the next 100 years.”
Collareda said that the company is undergoing a top-down review of its business processes, to identify opportunities for digitisation and automation. This includes processes that are currently dependent on a single person, which can be documented and digitised to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
One of the key aspects of the digitisation program is the shift to a platform-based approach, where Kellanova Australia will leverage existing solutions from partners like Salesforce, rather than building its own from scratch.
Collareda said that Salesforce is one of the platforms that Kellanova Australia is using to support its digital transformation. The company is using Salesforce to manage its customer relationships, sales pipeline, marketing campaigns, and service delivery.
“We’re very early on in our Salesforce journey,” Collareda said. “We’re looking forward to seeing what we can do with it and how we can grow with it.”
