Aussies are being urged to get themselves organised as Australia Post recently unveiled crucial deadlines for sending parcels to ensure timely Christmas deliveries. With the festive season rapidly approaching, it’s imperative for Australians to take note of the latest sending dates issued by the postal service.
For all parcels destined within Australia, sent via the trusted Parcel Post service, the advised deadline is Monday, December 18. For those seeking even swifter delivery options, the cutoff date for utilising the Express Post service is Thursday, December 21.
The announcement serves as a timely reminder for individuals and businesses alike to plan their Christmas shipments in advance, especially considering the expected surge in holiday deliveries during this period.
Australia Post has advised that those sending to or from Western Australia and the Northern Territory should allow for a few additional days.
In December of the previous year, Australia Post successfully delivered an astonishing 52 million parcels, and a comparable surge is anticipated for this upcoming festive season. For international shipments, it is essential to plan ahead, especially for those destined to particularly distant locations, as some may need to be dispatched as early as November 16.
When sending items internationally through Economy Air, the final dates for sending cards and gifts vary between November 16 and 29, contingent on the destination. Customers who opt for International Standard services enjoy a more extended window for selecting the ideal gift, with the cutoff dates ranging from November 23 to December 7.
