Urgent Health Warning: Cheese Contamination Scare Prompts Recall

Cheese lovers have been put on notice with an urgent recall of products from Cheese Full Circle sold through Long Paddock Cheese and The Cheese School. The products have been identified as potentially contaminated with E. coli, a harmful bacteria that if consumed could cause serious food poisoning.

Symptoms of an E. coli infection include diarrhoea, stomach cramps and fever, sometimes accompanied by nausea or vomiting. If these symptoms are experienced after consuming the recalled products, people should seek medical advice immediately.

The recall affects both the 180g size and wedges from the 1kg pack of the company’s Driftwood Cheese. This product has been sold at independent food retailers in NSW, Victoria, online, and IGA Macedon in Victoria.

If you are worried about your health and have purchased one of these products, you should seek medical advice and return the item(s) to the store from which they were bought in order to receive a full refund.

Customers should be mindful of the recall and check the products they have purchased from Cheese Full Circle, Long Paddock Cheese and The Cheese School. This recall is out of an abundance of caution to protect consumers from being exposed to E. Coli, which can cause severe gastrointestinal symptoms.

To stay safe, it is important to double-check any products purchased from these retailers to ensure they are not part of this recall.
