NBN Co plans to introduce two new speed tiers for its fixed wireless network, offering peak information rates of up to 325Mbps. The new tiers are “Home Fast” and “Home Superfast”, offering wholesale peak information rates of 100-130Mbps and 200-325Mbps download speeds respectively, and an upload speed of 8-20Mbps.
NBN Co said the new speeds were enabled through an upgrade and expansion program for the fixed wireless network, and the introduction of the new tiers is currently in planning. The move comes after NBN Co consulted with providers and consumer groups to ensure that the products and features are right before launching them.
