Kmart Australia now provides Slyp electronic receipts

Through the fintech business Slyp, Kmart Australia has launched digitised “smart” receipts for in-store purchases.

Customers may get digital receipts using the NAB banking app, and other payment partners are expected to roll out the service in the near future.

Physical receipts are no longer nearly as necessary while shopping thanks to Slyp’s technology, which can automatically create itemised tax slips and is compatible with banking apps.

The Wesfarmers-owned company is “searching for methods to improve and enhance our customers’ shopping experience both in-store and online,” Kmart Chief Customer Officer Lil Velis-Bowker told iTnews.

By eliminating the hassle of having to keep track of a tangible printed receipt, Velis-Bowker added, “we are able to give our customers a more smooth buying experience.”

This not only makes it simpler for our customers to conduct returns, but it also gives them a terrific opportunity to readily access a history of their Kmart purchases in their banking app.

We will be able to lessen our reliance on printed receipts in the future by embracing digital smart receipts, which is crucial to us as we continue to look for ways we can

Kmart also installed its own AI chatbot during the past year to offer 24/7 aided help via Live Chat and customer support via its virtual assistant Chatterbot.

To improve consumer self-service options, chatbots were implemented. ‘

Additionally, it has been included into automated consumer solutions and order tracking with Australia Post.

Country Road, a clothing company, launched the Slyp service alongside Kmart.
