Acer Australia won a $21M contract

Acer Australia secures a significant contract to provide notebooks to the Department of Education Queensland. Acer Australia is a renowned supplier of notebooks, monitors and desktops to students across Queensland public schools.

The company won the contract after going through the RFQ process for phase 14 of the QED105137 contract. It is under the Queensland whole of Government standing offer agreement contract (SOA). It’s a mega deal for Acer and it has a good record of supplying products to various clients.

Contract for Notebooks

According to the contract, Acer will provide Notebooks worth 13000 over six months announcing April 2022. Hence, the total contract is value at AUD 21M.

Rod Bassi, sales Director, Acer oceanic Region said, ” we are thrilled to build on our existing relationship with the Department and are grateful to have been chosen to supply phase 14 of the notebook for teachers roll out.”

Back in 2020, Acer had won a $46 million deal with the Victorian Education department. It was also for notebooks and part of a proactive measure against a potential Covid 19 outbreak.

It is an assumption that the state government rush to make the contract. Rather going for planned procurement for new long term supplier.
