#gosunless | As we step into the warmer months, the allure of sun-kissed skin grows stronger.
But beneath the glow lies a conversation that’s often left undiscussed: the very real dangers of skin cancer. This November, we’re yet again launching our sun safety campaign – “Undress” – a campaign that goes beyond the surface to undress the delicate conversation around skin cancer.
Sontse is an Australian sunless tanning brand on a sun safety mission, our advocacy around sun safety is embedded throughout all our marketing channels, as well as donating 10c from every purchase back to two Australian Skin Cancer Foundations so that our community know that their purchase is contributing toward active change in eradicating skin cancer.
You may recall from last year, our 2023 UNDRESS campaign where myself and stars like Jesinta Franklin, Hannah Collingwood-English, Phoebe Burgess and Jules Robinson stripped down for social media in an effort to help raise awareness over the importance of sun safety.
This year, we’re bringing it a little closer to home. We’re inviting our community to share their stories, to open up about their experiences, and join us in spreading awareness. Because, if we can encourage just one person to get their skin checked, to practice sun safety, or to start a conversation with their loved ones, we know we’re making a difference.
We’re thrilled to partner with Kellie Finlayson and Sophie Edwards, the dynamic duo behind the Sh*t Talkers Podcast, to amplify these stories as well as publishing these golden takeaways online. Together, we’ll bring you a series of intimate discussions, featuring voices from all walks of life—a skin cancer nurse with a personal story, a woman and mother of three who faced the possibility of not being here for them, a Stage III and Stage IV Melanoma warrior, who we have interviewed to share about their life-altering journey and how this has shaped their lives.
“It is expected 16,800 Australians will be diagnosed with Melanoma this year alone”, this is our pledge to do what we can to lower this statistic and see more Australians choose a healthier way to glow, that we protect the skin we are in and go sunless.
We hope you join us this November as we undress the stigma, share the stories, and take a stand against skin cancer. Because your skin is worth protecting, and your story is worth sharing.
On top of our regular donations with every sale, we will also be donating a portion of all this months’ sales to Australian Skin Cancer Foundation. One of the charities we have supported from day 1 of the brand launching (we launched in April last year) and a very special friend of the brand.
Please see links through to video on our campaign and some of the women’s stories we will be featuring throughout the campaign:
We hope this campaign connects with you, you can find a piece of yourself in each of their stories and this helps save lives. We celebrate our community choosing a healthier way to glow.
Protect the skin your in, #gosunless.
