Applications are open for the Future Leaders Delegation to GDC 2025. The program will support six individuals to attend the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2025. It provides up to $10,000 in funding to each participant. The conference for 2025 will be held from March 17-21 in San Francisco, California.
GDC is a global event for the game industry and developers. The event supports the international game sector through panel discussions, networking, trade shows, and awards. It is an exciting opportunity for newcomers. The event gathers early-career to mid-career game makers from around the globe. They connect with their peers, learn from partners, and find funding opportunities.
Screen Australia will support successful applicants through funding towards flights, accommodation, meals, and even tickets. Additionally, pre-departure and on-the-ground support will also be provided to participants. To apply for the Future Leaders Delegation to GDC 2025, the applicant and company must:
- have released and/or published at least one game on a public platform (e.g. on Steam, itch.io, etc);
- be actively working on at least one game (for company delegates, this must be a company game);
- be available to attend GDC 2025 (17–21 March 2025 and travel dates around these) and to participate in a pre-departure workshop in late February 2025 in Melbourne (domestic travel costs will be covered for successful delegates); and
- have not attended GDC before.
The applications are now open and will close at 5pm AEST on 17th October 2024.
