Organizers of Pitch Music Festival announced the cancellation of the event on Sunday afternoon. The decision was made due to extreme heat and it is expected to soar into the 40s. Meanwhile, there are also warnings of bushfires.
The popular music festive organizers have advised people to stay at home. The country Fire Authority (CFA) has issued warnings. The event was canceled after consultation with authorities. As per statement the organizers have consistently followed the guidance of the relevant authorities.
The statement said,‘’Nobody is in immediate danger. We encourage everyone on site not to rush, calmly pack-up and depart either this evening or early tomorrow.’’
Those who arrived early for the event were told to leave the site tonight or early in the mornig. Meanwhile, those who are arriving on Sunday are advised to delay their arrival on further notice.
