Apple has advertised many apps for its spatial computing headset, the Vision Pro. It will launch soon. You can watch Star Wars on Disney Plus, use productivity tools like Slack and Office, or chat with holograms on FaceTime. However, the key app for the Vision Pro might be Safari.
Web browsers are important again. Apple needs them to make the Vision Pro popular. The headset costs $3,500 and runs on a new platform. The web is open and flexible, unlike Apple’s mobile ecosystem. Apple may have to risk its power and profits to embrace the web. Developers do not seem eager to create new apps for the Vision Pro yet.
Apple shared some details about these apps before. But now you can see all the apps on the Vision Pro website.
These apps are made for Vision Pro:
- App Store
- Encounter Dinosaurs
- Files
- Freeform
- Keynote
- Messages
- Mindfulness
- Music
- Notes
- Photos
- Safari
- Settings
- Tips
- TV
These apps are not made for Vision Pro, but you can still use them:
- Books
- Calendar
- Home
- Maps
- News
- Podcasts
- Reminders
- Shortcuts
- Stocks
- Voice Memos
Some Apple apps are missing from the list. For example, Pages and Numbers are not there. Neither are Find My, Health, Clock, Contacts, and Weather. FaceTime is not there, but it is on the device. You can also use Capture to take videos and photos.
You can download more apps from the App Store. Some of them are from other developers. They work well with the Vision Pro.
