NBN Co plans to hire 130 new field service technicians for various regional locations in Australia. The recruitment drive started in September 2022 but the number of technicians hired so far has not been confirmed.
The company is currently advertising for 41 positions, including 18 field technician roles, 17 trainee field technician roles, and 6 senior field technician roles, in all Australian states and territories across 60 regional locations. Keven Allan, the Executive General Manager of Field Services, stated that these roles are crucial in increasing the company’s presence in regional and rural areas of Australia.
The field workforce expansion is aimed at meeting growing demand, particularly in a post-Covid era where people have moved from urban areas to regional areas.
